528 Hz is the middle of the six traditional Solfeggio tones: 396, 417, 528, 639, 741 and 852. It's the most famous of the group, often labelled the "miracle tone" because of its association with a supposed "DNA repair" claim. In the modern wellness market, 528 Hz is the single most-pitched "healing frequency", so it gets far more marketing attention than its neighbours, even though the evidence for all six is essentially the same.
Because it's a fairly low-mid human-audible tone, it also happens to sit in a register that many people find warm and soothing — 528 Hz is a "pleasant" frequency by ear. That subjective pleasantness is likely a big part of why it's more popular than, say, 741 Hz. It feels nice to listen to, so people keep coming back to it, and the repeated exposure builds the relaxation ritual that actually helps.
There is a useful way to think about this: the "Love Frequency" label is marketing, but the relaxation it produces is real and measurable through sleep quality and subjective stress.
